I like to train hard. I don’t know what it means “take it easy”. As Bruno says “I go beast mode”. And that’s a good thing. Until you get injured.
I have many injuries due to overtraining. What does overtraining mean? It means that you break the balance between training and recovery, your body doesn’t have time to rest, recover and recharge for the next training session.
Being a fitness professional I should know better, you might think. Oh, I do know but because fitness is my primary and only job, I put my body under a lot of stress. I don’t have enough time for recovery, therefore I get injured. I basically train in pain every day. Sometimes it is very unpleasant, especially when I’m tired.
Some of my friends have asked me how do I cope with injuries and teaching in constant pain and yet I am positive, smile, even go “beast mode” during my classes? It is not a simple answer, sometimes I take my energy from the participants and get on with it, sometimes I have had a good night sleep and I’m full of energy, but there are times when I feel that I won’t be able to finish the class in one piece ????????♀️.
What drives me is the passion I have for fitness. And it’s 20 years since I started teaching classes. I like to think that I have made a difference wherever I went and I touched people’s hearts.
Every hour with you, I feel you’ve made a difference to me. You are so professional we might never really know you are in pain too ????. Please look after you so you can continue to always be the best version of your beast mode hehe
Love you Miki ???? xxx
